We would like to introduce a case study of the installation effects of the water treatment device "Scale Watcher" at a thermal power plant. In the No. 1 flue gas desulfurization tower, during the annual inspection, there was severe scale accumulation, making the piping invisible, and the grit was completely caked with gypsum. At the one-year inspection after the product was put into operation, there was no scale accumulation on the ceiling or piping, and the entire grit was clean. We would like to introduce the case study of the introduction effects of the water treatment device "Scale Watcher" in public facilities. Three units of this product were installed in the No. 2 furnace with a capacity of 300t/D. The caustic soda injection amount was 200-250 liters/hour at a concentration of 48%, the Sox emission was 70-80 ppm/Nm3, and the pH value of the lower circulating water was 8-9 pH. There was a softening and detachment effect of the adhered scale in the desulfurization tower shower line. Additionally, there was a reduction in system downtime due to scale softening.
